Ad Driver

The Ad Driver interface allows the user to control Digital Signage displays from the desktop, identify Digital Signage displays (up to four displays per terminal), and restart or exit Digital Signage displays.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Interfaces icon.
  3. Under Common, click the Ad Driver option.

ClosedHow to ID Terminals

When the Ad Driver interface is initially launched, it will prompt the user to identify all detected displays. Users can also edit previously identified displays from the system tray.

To ID Terminals

  1. Click the Show/Hide icon to display the System Tray.
  2. Right-click the Ad Driver icon.
  3. Click the ID Terminals option. The Display Identifier window(s) will open.
  4. Enter a display name in the Name Display field, then click the Save Display button. Repeat this step for each display. Note that Future Fusion identifies the displays automatically, by number. The Name Display field allows the user to add a description of the display for ease of use. For example, Display 1 could have a display name of "Counter."

    5. Ad Driver uniquely assigns a display number, therefore, the number assigned to the display by Ad Driver may not be the same identifier displayed by Windows when using the Display Identify feature or any Display Identify features of installed graphics card software.

ClosedHow to Restart the Digital Signage Display(s)

After editing Digital Signage displays from the Back Office, users will sometimes need to Restart the Ad Driver interface to reset the display(s) and view any changes. Perfrming a Restart of Ad Driver will restart all displays identified by the terminal.

To Restart Ad Driver

  1. Click the Show/Hide icon to display the System Tray.
  2. Right-click the Ad Driver icon.
  3. Click the Restart option. Ad Driver will restart all displays.
ClosedHow to Close the Digital Signage Display(s)

Users can close Digital Signage displays by exiting the Ad Driver interface. This will close all displays identified by the terminal.

To Exit Ad Driver

  1. Click the Show/Hide icon to display the System Tray.
  2. Right-click the Ad Driver icon.
  3. Click the Exit option. Ad Driver will close all Digital Signage displays.
